Software Engineer - FDE

Build and ship production software: Design, implement, test, and maintain services, applications, and tools using modern engineering practices (code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, observability).   Security and privacy by design: Follow Microsoft security, privacy, and compliance requirements; apply secure coding practices, threat modeling, and vulnerability management.   Responsible AI engineering: When building AI-enabled features, apply responsible AI principles, evaluate model and data risks, and implement appropriate safeguards and monitoring.   Customer co-engineering: Work with customer stakeholders to understand requirements, translate them into technical designs, and deliver solutions that meet agreed success metrics.   Collaborate across disciplines: Partner with PM, design, data science, and domain experts to make informed tradeoffs, document decisions, and drive alignment as One Microsoft.   Operate what you build: Participate in on-call/incident response as required, diagnose issues, and improve reliability through root-cause analysis and preventative fixes.   Contribute to reusable assets: Create and maintain reusable components, reference implementations, and documentation to accelerate delivery across engagements.   Continuous improvement: Learn, experiment, and share best practices to improve engineering velocity, quality, and customer outcomes.   Model Microsoft culture and values: Work inclusively, communicate clearly, and act with integrity.

Required/minimum qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.   Other Requirements Microsoft is unable to sponsor a work visa for this role due to the nature of the role’s job duties.   Additional or preferred qualifications Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited
