Columbia Sportswear’s Digital Technology (CDT) group enables an IT infrastructure and applications across four global brands, a global supply chain, and 500+ geographically dispersed stores. These teams support in-store, mobile, and data platforms to enhance customer interface and service in an ever-evolving industry. The Sr. Data Platform Engineer is a member of the Data & Analytics (D&A) Platform and Architecture team responsible for the design, development, testing, maintenance, and support of CSC's Enterprise Data Platform.  Working on a dedicated scrum team, the Sr. Data Platform Engineer will provide technical and architectural design, as well as development and analytical support for CSC's D&A platform. The Sr. Data Platform Engineer must have demonstrable big data experience with cloud computing in order to help the D&A team deliver high-quality, first-class reporting to customers. A skillset that includes data architecture and system design is a must. The Sr. Data Platform Engineer will have strong communication skills as well as the ability to work effectively with technical teams across information technology (IT) groups. HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE As a Senior Data Platform Engineer on our Data & Analytics (D&A) Platform and Architecture team, you'll contribute to the development, optimization, and ongoing evolution of CSC's enterprise data platform - a governed lakehouse built on Azure, Databricks, and Delta Lake, running at global scale. Your responsibilities will include: Developing and maintaining data infrastructure pipelines, frameworks, and platform tooling within the established architecture Design, build, and maintain scalable data platforms using Databricks, Data Lake, Data Factory, and Data Warehouse. Collaborating with senior and principal engineers on integration patterns across ingestion, transformation, and consumption layers In-depth knowledge of Azure Key Vault and security best practices.Experience with Unity Catalog and managing multiple workspaces.Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and Terraform.
