About this role
Citi is looking for a Lead Risk Reporting Analyst at Vice President level to sit at the heart of its Risk Data Analytics, Reporting and Technology function — a team that produces the critical risk intelligence used by senior leaders, regulators, and business managers across the firm. In this role, you will own the end-to-end delivery of credit and interest rate risk reporting, ensuring decision-makers have accurate, timely, and meaningful data to manage Citi's portfolio. You will combine deep risk expertise with analytical capability to shape how risk information is produced, interpreted, and presented at the most senior levels of the organization.
Responsibilities
Manage the production of regular and time-sensitive risk analytics and reports covering Citi's credit and interest rate risk exposures, ensuring accuracy and delivery against strict deadlines. Provide risk and business management with the data and analysis needed to support portfolio monitoring, regulatory submissions, and strategic decision-making at senior committee level. Present in-depth analysis of key risk metrics at senior management forums, including portfolio reviews and asset and liability committee meetings. Design and maintain Tableau visualizations, dashboards, and data flows that communicate complex risk information clearly and efficiently to a range of stakeholders. Identify and implement opportunities to improve the speed, efficiency, and automation of reporting processes, reducing manual effort and increasing reliability. Lead cross-functional workstreams on risk-wide initiatives, including platform implementation, data controls, and end-user computing reduction, coordinating plans and targets across teams. Establish and maintain effective data quality controls and governance frameworks to ensure the integrity of risk data used across reporting deliverables. Act as a subject matter expert for senior stakeholders across Risk, Finance, Technology, and Audit, translating complex risk concepts into clear, actionable insights. Required qualifications & skills 9 or more years of experience in finance and/or risk data analytics, with a demonstrable ability to manage complex reporting across credit risk, market risk, or liquidity risk domains. Degree-level qualification in a quantitative discipline such as engineering, finance, economics, or science, equivalent to an MBA in Finance, CA, or postgraduate qualification from a leading university. Solid knowledge of credit risk, market risk, and liquidity concepts, along with a working understanding of accounting principles as they apply to risk reporting. Proficiency in Tableau, Power BI, or comparable business intelligence and data visualization tools, with the ability to translate data into meaningful visual narratives. Advanced capability in Excel and VBA, with the ability to build and manage complex data models and reporting tools. Clear and confident communication skills, with a track record of presenting risk findings to senior management in a concise and impactful way and influencing outcomes across a broad stakeholder group. Analytical mindset with the ability to work through large volumes of granular data, identify the key drivers of trends, and summarize findings at a strategic level. Beneficial skills & qualifications Experience managing or restructuring large, complex datasets — including databases with millions of records — using programming languages such as Python, R, or SAS. Familiarity with risk and finance reporting platforms and applications used within large financial institutions. A master's degree in Finance, or a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, computer science, or a similarly analytical field.
