Join an inclusive team passionate about one thing: using their expertise in the relentless pursuit of innovation for customers and partners. The solutions we build help make everything from virtual reality experiences to breakthroughs in neural networks possible. We do it all while committing to integrity, sustainability, and giving back to our communities. Because doing so can fuel the very innovation we are pursuing. Location F10N Department Fab 10 Strategic Planning Project Title Enabling MSH Probe Ramp Through AI-Driven Layout Planning and Process Automation Project Description The intern will undertake a project focused on optimizing layout planning for the MSH probe manufacturing ramp. Under engineer guidance, the intern will evaluate planning workflows, conduct site assessments, and develop AI-Enabled solutions that improve planning accuracy, productivity, and decision-making. The project includes collaboration with Layout Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production, and other stakeholders. Objective of the Project Improve layout-planning efficiency and standardization. Develop an AI-Enabled solution for a selected planning workflow. Reduce manual effort and accelerate planning decisions. Apply responsible AI practices to engineering information and workflows. Opportunities for Full Time Employment Interns may be considered for future internship or full-time employment opportunities based on business needs, role availability, academic completion, and demonstrated capabilities. Project Scope Conduct site assessments for incoming tools and evaluate installation readiness. Map existing planning processes and identify bottlenecks or repetitive activities. Develop automation using Microsoft Copilot, Power Automate, Python, Structured Query Language, or data analytics tools. Apply prompt-engineering techniques to improve AI-assisted analysis and knowledge retrieval. Document the solution and prepare user guidance and handover materials. Learning Opportunities Gain exposure to semiconductor layout planning and manufacturing-capacity ramp activities. Learn process mapping, workflow improvement, and stakeholder-engagement methods. Apply Generative AI, Microsoft Copilot, Power Platform, and programming tools to engineering challenges. Develop practical knowledge of responsible AI, including data privacy, security, and ethical use. Deliverables Site-assessment findings for selected tool locations. At least one AI-Enabled automation solution for a defined planning workflow. Measured benefits such as reduced cycle time, effort savings, improved data quality, or faster decision-making. Technical documentation and a final project presentation. Impact of the Project Improve layout-planning productivity and decision quality. Enhance readiness for incoming tool installations. Reduce repetitive effort through sustainable automation. Demonstrate practical AI adoption within strategic planning workflows . Skillsets Required Strong analytical, problem-solving, and systems-thinking abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and effective stakeholder communication. Interest in Generative AI, Microsoft Copilot, and AI-Enabled workflows. Knowledge of workflow automation through Power Automate, coding in Python, and managing data via Structured Query Language, plus Power BI or Tableau, would be advantageous. Ability to document solutions and communicate project findings clearly. Course of Interest The ideal candidate should be pursuing a degree or equivalent qualification in Industrial and Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Business Analytics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or another relevant engineering discipline. Duration of Period The ideal candidate should be able to commit to a full time, credit-bearing internship period of at least 5 months from Jan to May 2027. About Micron Technology, Inc. We are an
