About this role

At Google, we put our users first. The world is always changing, so we need Product Managers who are continuously adapting and excited to work on products that affect millions of people every day. In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development. One of the many reasons Google consistently brings innovative, world-changing products to market is because of the collaborative work we do in Product Management. Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users. The digital advertising landscape is undergoing an unprecedented privacy-driven change. As user expectations, regulatory requirements, and industry standards evolve rapidly, the Ads Identity & Infrastructure team is at the forefront of this transformation. Our mission is to build cutting-edge solutions that preserve user data privacy while continuing to support Google's Ad business across Search, Video, Display, and Apps. In this role, you will own the direction and roadmap for critical Privacy Enhancing Technologies (PETs). You will navigate complex technical, business, and regulatory tradeoffs to define a product strategy that balances privacy protections with monetization goals. Partnering closely with engineering, policy, and legal teams—as well as engaging directly with Ads Executive leadership—your work will directly shape the future of privacy across the entire digital advertising ecosystem. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US: $192000 - $278000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits Learn more about benefits at Google .

Define and drive the strategic roadmap for cutting-edge Privacy Enhancing Technologies (PETs) to unlock new business generation opportunities while preserving user trust. Identify high-impact opportunities within Ads Identity Infrastructure that simultaneously elevate user privacy protections and support Google's core business generation outcomes. Partner with Legal, Policy, and Engineering leadership to navigate complex regulatory ambiguity, translating legal requirements into a pragmatic product roadmap that mitigates risk and enables innovation. Lead the product strategy for emerging privacy challenges across the broader advertising ecosystem, specifically addressing the intersection of AI and privacy. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and product leads across Google to build and scale company-wide solutions that relentlessly protect users and their data.

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 8 years of experience in product management or a related technical role. 3 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc). Experience integrating generative AI tools or LLM interfaces into workflows. Preferred qualifications: Master's degree in a technology or a business related field. Experience with regulatory, privacy, security, or safety products. Track record of driving strategy and translating ambiguous technological trends into a concrete product roadmap. Demonstrated thought leadership around user privacy, safety, security, regulations, and ethics. Cross-functional stakeholder management abilities with experience communicating with executive leadership. Excellent organizational and analytical skills with strong product and technical abilities in areas related to infrastructure and ecosystems.
