As a part of the firmware development team, you will work on robotic control and safety systems to deliver features to enhance and maintain solutions. In addition to working on new products and ideas, you should demonstrate a strong ability to identify issues and show bias for action to drive resolution of these issues. Key job responsibilities • Participate as an active member of the firmware team, developing and maintaining the firmware base of our robotic and safety systems. • Learn and master multiple components within the firmware environment, potentially including areas such as cameras, WiFi, security, navigation, sensors, and more. • Work with and lead teams of high-caliber firmware developers on critical products. • Share your perspective in design discussions and code reviews — speak up when you see it differently, then get behind the team's decision and help make it work. • Demonstrate best engineering practices, documentation, and ownership. A day in the life As a Firmware Engineer, you'll work with cross-functional teams to develop, test, and debug modern robotic systems. The work involves participating in design discussions, exploring new approaches to hard robotics problems, and implementing new product concepts and features. Testing ranges from writing automated tests that validate new features to hands-on bench and live testing to debug and root-cause issues on real hardware.
