POSITION SUMMARY
The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for cleaning and servicing guest rooms and assigned public areas in accordance with hotel standards. This includes replenishing room amenities, changing linens, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene, responding to guest requests, and reporting maintenance or safety concerns. The successful candidate will uphold company quality standards, follow workplace health and safety procedures, and provide friendly and professional service to guests and colleagues.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Clean and service guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and assigned areas to established hotel standards. Make beds, replace linens and towels, replenish guest amenities, and ensure rooms are fully stocked and presentable. Vacuum carpets, clean floors, dust furniture, and maintain overall room cleanliness and appearance. Promptly respond to guest requests and coordinate with relevant departments to ensure guest satisfaction. Inspect rooms and report maintenance issues, damaged equipment, hazards, or safety concerns. Follow all health, safety, security, and housekeeping procedures, including the proper handling and storage of cleaning materials and chemicals. Operate housekeeping equipment safely and maintain cleanliness of carts, tools, and work areas. Maintain professional grooming standards, guest privacy, and confidentiality at all times. Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to achieve departmental goals and service standards. Perform manual handling duties, including pushing housekeeping carts, lifting and carrying work-related items safely, and remaining active throughout shifts.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION
Previous experience in housekeeping, laundry operations, hospitality, or a customer service environment is advantageous but not essential. Good communication, interpersonal, and time management skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect guest privacy. Physically fit and capable of performing manual duties associated with housekeeping operations. Flexible and willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required. Positive attitude with a commitment to delivering excellent guest service. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
