About the job

The Conversational Agents Organization at Twilio is building the bridge between AI agents and the Twilio platform. We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Agent Implementations team. This role will lead the team responsible for building and operating best in class agents that power Twilio’s own business workflows. If you’re interested in helping spearhead Twilio’s internal AI transformation this role is for you!

In this role, you'll

• Lead the engineering strategy and execution for enabling customer AI agents to securely and reliably consume Twilio platform capabilities.

• Build and scale systems that power AI agents for Twilio’s internal business operations, improving efficiency and automation.

• Collaborate across product, platform, security, and go-to-market teams to identify high-impact AI agent use cases and deliver production-ready solutions.

• Cultivate a high-performing engineering team by hiring, mentoring, and developing managers and engineers across a rapidly evolving technical space.

• Drive operational excellence by establishing clear metrics, performing roadmap planning, and ensuring reliability, compliance, and continuous improvement.

• Acquire new technical skills and knowledge in a fast-paced, high-delivery environment. There will be a steep learning curve to this job, you should be comfortable diving in the deep end and creating clarity for yourself.

• 5+ years hands on experience as an engineer writing production-grade code in a modern programming language (language agnostic)
