This is a hands-on engineering role responsible for designing, building, testing, and supporting AI-powered products and platform capabilities. The successful candidate will apply strong software engineering fundamentals and practical AI knowledge to deliver secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions for enterprise use. In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI applications, services, and reusable platform components across the full software development lifecycle. Build solutions using LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, agentic workflows, model APIs, prompt engineering, and other applied AI approaches. Develop backend services, APIs, integrations, context pipelines, and automation that support our enterprise AI platform and other AI Hub capabilities. Work with product managers, architects, designers, governance partners, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into clear technical solutions. Conduct model and solution evaluations, analyze performance and quality results, and recommend improvements to models, prompts, workflows, and application designs. Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code; participate actively in code reviews and maintain appropriate technical documentation. Build automated tests and deployment pipelines, troubleshoot defects and production issues, and contribute to the reliability and operational readiness of AI services. Apply enterprise standards for security, privacy, model risk, responsible AI, change management, and software quality throughout delivery. Manage technical debt, identify opportunities for reuse, and recommend continuous improvements to engineering methods, tools, and platform capabilities. Mentor less-experienced engineers and contribute to shared technical practices across the APAC AI Hub. To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience, is required. Experience, preferably 7+ years, in software engineering, applied AI/ML, platform development, or a related technical discipline. Demonstrated experience building and supporting production applications, backend services, APIs, integrations, or cloud-based platforms. Practical experience with LLM applications, retrieval-augmented generation, prompt engineering, session context management, model APIs, AI agents, evaluation methods, or related AI technologies. Strong programming skills, preferably in Python and one or more modern backend or cloud-native development frameworks. Knowledge of software architecture, automated testing, CI/CD, source control, containers, monitoring, security, and production-support practices. Ability to analyze complex requirements, troubleshoot technical problems, and deliver secure, testable, and maintainable software. Strong collaboration and communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with teams across APAC and other global locations.
