Your Role at Baxter Monitor the import and export process of goods, including customs clearance with the relevant authorities, control of all documentation, negotiations, compliance with timelines and costs, in accordance with applicable regulations and internal policies.
What You Will Do
Monitor import and export processes by providing and verifying the required documentation, overseeing administrative procedures, and updating process status in accordance with applicable regulations and internal policies. Monitor shipments with suppliers to ensure compliance with established shipping schedules and agreements. Verify the accuracy of amounts on received invoices. Analyze tariffs and duties associated with each process. Analyze rates from major shipping lines and freight forwarders, seeking the best import/export alternatives in terms of cost and transit time. Stay up to date with published regulations and resolutions related to your area of expertise. Report cost information and results to the relevant stakeholders. Receive documentation and coordinate shipment instructions for logistics, planning, and dispatch, in accordance with applicable regulations. Monitor the registration and dispatch of goods. Oversee the contracting of pre-negotiated freight services, following established procedures. Prepare quotations for import and export processes. Complete tracking worksheets to keep the logistics team informed of cargo progress. Request, monitor, and verify import/export payment and expense processes through the company’s systems. Maintain and update department KPIs and performance metrics.
What You Will Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Relations, International Trade, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Intermediate to advanced English proficiency, both written and spoken. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with intermediate Excel skills. Minimum of 2 years of experience performing similar functions.
