Your Impact
As a Software Engineer at Cisco, you will design and build software solutions that power Cisco's products and platforms. You will work end-to-end on everything from APIs and backend services to user interfaces and distributed systems. You'll solve real-world problems, ship impactful features, and help shape the future of connectivity and technology.
Minimum Qualifications
Meet one of the following (completed within the past 3 years or expected to be completed within the next 12 months ): - A Master' s degree with 0 years of work experience ; or -A Bachelor' s degree with 2 years of work experience. Qualifying education and work experience should be in Computer Engineering, Technology, Software Development or a related field. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go Experience writing, debugging, and maintaining code Experience building or supporting software applications or services, including APIs and f amiliarity with core software engineering workflows, tools, and development environments such as Git and Linux Preferred Qualifications Expertise in frontend development using JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and React, with a strong focus on UI/UX principles. Proficiency in full-stack development, including experience with Python, Java, or JavaScript, and a solid understanding of RESTful APIs, Object-Oriented Programming, and version control via Git. Strong background in building and managing scalable backend distributed systems and microservices using languages such as C/C++, Go, Python, or Java. Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and robust CI/CD automation workflows. Why Cisco?
