A Day in the Life Cranial & Spinal Technologies (CST) develops and delivers an integrated ecosystem of spinal implants, navigation and robotic guidance systems, advanced imaging, and data-driven planning tools that support complex spine and cranial procedures. The Surgical Synergy portfolio combines innovative technologies and procedural solutions designed to enhance surgical precision, improve workflow efficiency, and support better patient outcomes. As an Area Manager based in Chennai (Remote), you will be responsible for driving sales growth and market development for the Surgical Synergy and Spine portfolio within the assigned territory. The role focuses on building strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, supporting procedural adoption, and executing territory strategies to achieve business objectives. Approximately 50% travel is required for customer engagement, clinical support, account management, and business development activities. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. Achieve or exceed territory sales objectives through effective execution of account and territory plans. Promote and sell Surgical Synergy and Spine products to healthcare professionals, hospitals, and other customer accounts within the assigned territory. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to drive product adoption and long-term business growth. Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities while expanding utilization within existing accounts. Collaborate with Application Specialists and cross-functional teams to support customer training, product evaluations, and clinical adoption activities. Monitor market dynamics, competitive activity, and customer needs to develop effective growth strategies. Maintain consignment and loaner inventory in accordance with company guidelines and operational requirements. Prepare and submit accurate sales forecasts, call reports, business updates, and other required documentation. Required Knowledge and Experience High School Diploma and 6+ years OR Associate's Degree and 4+ years OR Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of relevant sales, clinical, or related experience within medical devices, MedTech, healthcare, or life sciences. Experience selling medical devices, capital equipment, or healthcare solutions within a clinical environment. Demonstrated experience managing customer accounts and achieving sales targets within an assigned territory. Experience developing business opportunities and executing territory growth plans. Ability to comply with applicable healthcare industry regulations, company policies, and reporting requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience within Spine, Neurosurgery, Orthopaedics, or Operating Room environments. Experience selling capital equipment, technology-enabled solutions, or concept-based therapies. Demonstrated success managing multiple stakeholders across hospitals and healthcare systems. Experience analyzing market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to support business planning. Knowledge of surgical workflows and procedural adoption in the operating room setting.
