More about the role Job Summary Analyzes manufacturing processes to identify improvement opportunities. Supports production lines by troubleshooting technical issues efficiently. Key Areas of Responsibility • Product Engineers are responsible for 3th line support for manufacturing • Product Engineers are responsible for Bill of Material (BOM) and Technical Product Documentation (TPD) Maintenance after MS CR. • Product engineers are responsible to supporting to release alternate components to cope with supply gaps/FAP issues and product cost downs.Product engineers are responsible for as well as support product reconfiguration, customization, and re- engineering to meet customer requirements. • If applicable, product engineering runs local approbation lab, product engineers take care of re-approbation related to changes. All after the Commercial Release of the product (MS CR). • Product engineers participate during NPDL phase on D/P-FMEA sessions and support Engineering Project Managers DFMA and DfSC. • Product engineers update and control all changes made on the product/BOM via Product Lifecycle Management System and ensure this is processed correctly to SAP/ERP system. • Product engineers are aware application knowledge in installation/luminaire but also linked to connected system and interactions with other components in the connected eco-system. • Product engineers drive productivity by digitizing tasks were it adds value. • Specific to ‘Engineering To Order’ • Design and documentation of ETO, sub-assemblies and assemblies, in accordance with quality specifications and standards, and carrying out tests and analyses of products and components • Analysis and evaluation of the design by eliminating the risk of faults in the full life cycle of the product, minimizing costs and investments, ease of assembly and organization of production • Participates with Quality and Assembly to ETO product release • Creates the TPD (Technical Product Documentation) : drawings, mounting instructions ….) and product BOM (Bill of Material) • Organizes assembly of prototypes, samples and delivery when relevant • Supports Assembly when ETO products related issues • Develops and implements solutions to improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency. • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to address production challenges and optimize workflows. • Conducts root cause analysis and corrective actions for product defects and process deviations. • Monitors and maintains technical documentation related to manufacturing processes and product specifications. • Provides technical support and training to manufacturing staff on new equipment and procedures. • Evaluates new manufacturing technologies and recommends adoption to enhance productivity. • Ensures compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements in all engineering activities. Critical Experiences • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field, providing foundational knowledge in product design, manufacturing processes, and engineering principles. • Minimum of 3 years experience in product engineering within manufacturing environments, including hands-on involvement
