Lead architecture, design, and delivery of enterprise-scale AI-powered and cloud-native solutions Drive adoption of Generative AI, Agentic AI, AI/ML platforms, and automation capabilities across the organization Define technical strategy, architecture standards, and engineering best practices for scalable, secure, and resilient systems Architect and optimize solutions leveraging Azure Public Cloud services and modern platform engineering principles Lead cross-functional initiatives involving software engineering, AI/ML, cloud infrastructure, and DevSecOps Mentor engineers and influence technical direction through architecture reviews, innovation, and engineering excellence Drive operational excellence through automation, observability, reliability engineering, and continuous improvement Collaborate with business and technology leaders to translate strategic objectives into technology solutions Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regard to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer science or similar field 10+ years of software engineering experience with demonstrated architecture and technical leadership responsibilities Deep experience with Azure Public Cloud, cloud-native architectures, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code. Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale CI/CD, DevSecOps, and platform engineering solutions Solid expertise in AI/ML, Generative AI, Agentic AI, LLMs, RAG frameworks, and AI platform development Advanced proficiency in Python, Java, Spring Boot, microservices, APIs, and distributed systems Proven ability to lead complex technical initiatives and influence architecture decisions across multiple teams Solid communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and mentoring skills At UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
