TH E ROLE : Th e Technical Sales Enginee r/Specialist is a supporting role of our Engineering and Sales Support Teams. These teams are responsibl e fo r providin g pr e- an d pos t- sale s t echnica l suppor t fo r th e developmen t an d implementatio n o f comple x products , applications , and solut ions. T his role will be reporting to the Engineered Solution Supervisor of our Water Infrastructure – Transport division. I n thi s role , th e incumben t wil l wor k closely wit h sales , custome r support , an d projec t managemen t tea ms t o suppor t customers . TECHNICAL SKILLS : Basic knowledge of required systems and products including creating and interpreting engineering drawings, production specifications, and testing protocols using either CAD (computer-aided drafting), CAM (computer-aided manufacturing) or CAE (computer-aided engineering) systems. Reviewing and interpreting tender documents with attention to detail, technical specifications, product datasheets, and proposal-related documents. SOFT SKILLS : Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly convey ideas to technical and non-technical audiences. Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Collaborative team player who can build strong working relationships across departments and with external partners. Confident and professional presence, with the ability to present information effectively in meetings and customer interactions. Solid project management skills, including planning, coordination, and follow-through to ensure successful outcomes. Pre-Sales: Provide pre-sales technical support during feasibility, design, and tender stages to outside sales, distributors, and consulting engineers, while being assisted by Engineering in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs and may prepare detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer products/applications/solutions. Assist Engineering Team, who is responsible for providing technical and product expertise, as well as researching and gathering data to understand how to meet the customers consultancy needs or solve the customer problem. Work closely with internal colleagues, subject matter experts, and technical and commercial resources to review tender documents.
