DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The intern will work with Marriott’s Area Director of Finance, Singapore & Maldives team and based in the Singapore office. The intern will assist in projects, and supporting initatives related to hotel finance operations. Key responsibilities include:
Participate in hotel and market visits Create presentation decks using PowerPoint Coordinate and collate data/information with different teams Review and summarize financial reports Perform basic analysis using Excel and other relevant analytical tools Take lead of projects such as Capital expenditure, Budget preparation Manage and respond to e-mails in an effective, organized and professional way Assist supervisor in facilitating appointments, organize meeting schedule and prepare agenda Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and follow company policies and procedures Perform other reasonable job duties as requested
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
You should be a high-potential intern who is passionate, committed and keen to establish a career in the hospitality industry with the following attributes:
Display strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in handling data Be initiative, proactive, creative and have the ability to “think outside the box” Be responsible, well-organized and systematic in dealing with assignments Be flexible and adaptable to change and have awareness on different cultures in the region Have a good command of English, spoken and written Have good interpersonal and communication skills, able to work in a team Tech savvy, strong proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
QUALIFICATION STANDARD
Education: Undergraduate in Business Management or Hospitality, preferably in their third year of undergrad studies
Requirements Singaporean, Singapore Permanent Resident Holder or valid student pass Prepared to commit to a six months’ internship Eligible for undergraduate in a Singapore registered university program
Grooming: All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Marriott standards.
