WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT Sign on Bonus Available (Ask your Talent Acquisition Advisor if eligible for Sign-On Bonus) This is a busy cardiology practice with a working schedule of Monday-Friday 7:30am to 4:30pm This in person position will enjoy work life balance with a consistent day shift schedule and observed holidays off work. Periodic evening and Saturday shifts may be scheduled to support operational needs Prepare and maintain exam rooms and treatment areas, including cleaning, sanitizing, and stocking supplies to ensure patient readiness Support efficient patient flow by rooming patients, obtaining medical histories, vital signs, medication reconciliation, EKGs, and point-of-care testing as directed Accurately document patient care, communications, and clinical activities in EPIC EMR and other required systems Assist providers with procedures, patient communication, referrals, prior authorizations, appointment scheduling, and coordination of testing and follow-up care Build and maintain positive relationships with patients, providers, and staff while delivering high-quality care within the Medical Assistant scope of practice QUALIFICATIONS Required High School Diploma/GED Required completion of a Medical Assisting program; In lieu of program, 5 years of medical assistant experience is required Basic Life Support Program (BLS) certification - American Heart Association- required within 90 days of hire For an MA, you must have one of the following certifications within 6 months of hire: Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) – American Allied Health or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or Medical Assistant (RMA) – American Medical Technologists (AMT) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) – American Registry of Medical Assistants or Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) – National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) – National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) – National Healthcareer Association (NHA) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) - National Performance Specialists (NPS) TRAVEL IS REQUIRED: Up to 20% EQUAL
