Job Description
Business Context TD Technology builds and supports the platforms that power critical banking capabilities across the enterprise. Within TD Technology, the Treasury Analytics Group (TAG) supports Treasury and Balance Sheet Management (TBSM) by engineering the systems, data platforms, and infrastructure used to measure, monitor, and manage liquidity and market risk across Canada and the U.S. TAG works closely with TBSM partners across Investments, Liquidity Risk Management, Non-Trading Market Risk, and Cash Management. As liquidity reporting and risk platforms continue to evolve, this role offers the opportunity to build and modernize highly visible, business-critical technology in a regulated banking environment. We operate with strong ownership, engineering discipline, and a bias toward automation.
Position
Overview We are seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer Lead , you will lead the delivery, operation, modernization, and lifecycle management of cloud, database, analytics, and infrastructure platforms supporting Quantitative Risk Management (QRM) . You will lead a multidisciplinary engineering team consisting of cloud platform engineers, database platform engineers, DevOps engineers, and application infrastructure specialists. This role combines technical leadership, people leadership, program management, architecture governance, operational ownership, stakeholder management , and technical engineering . This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who combines strong technical depth with disciplined execution and organizational leadership. Your work will help ensure that critical platforms remain stable, secure, scalable, resilient, compliant, and positioned to meet evolving business needs. What You’ll Do Shape the platform strategy: Own and maintain the long-term roadmap for cloud, database, analytics, and infrastructure platforms, ensuring alignment with business priorities, architecture direction, security requirements, and technology standards. Lead modernization and delivery: Drive platform modernization, cloud adoption, automation, lifecycle management, and technical debt reduction while coordinating the successful delivery of complex platform initiatives. Strengthen reliability and operational excellence: Establish engineering practices, operating models, monitoring, performance management, resiliency controls, and support processes that improve platform availability and reduce operational risk. Guide architecture and governance: Provide technical direction and architectural guidance while defining platform standards, governance processes, operational controls, and reusable engineering patterns. Build and develop the engineering team: Lead, mentor, and develop platform and infrastructure engineers through coaching, career
