Summary & Role Description Role Summary The VP – Ardoq Developer is responsible for engineering, governing, and evolving the Ardoq enterprise architecture platform to enable transparency, decision making, and regulatory confidence across State Street’s technology landscape. This role blends hands on Ardoq configuration and data modeling expertise with platform strategy, stakeholder influence, and governance enablement, ensuring architecture data is trusted, reusable, and embedded into enterprise processes such as architecture review, portfolio rationalization, risk, and transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Ardoq Platform Ownership & Architecture Modeling • Own the design, configuration, and continuous evolution of the Ardoq platform, including components, references, metadata, views, and calculations. • Develop and maintain enterprise scale architecture data models (applications, platforms, technologies, interfaces, data domains, business capabilities). • Ensure Ardoq reflects current and target state architecture and supports traceability across strategy, delivery, and risk. Integration & Automation • Design and implement integrations between Ardoq and enterprise systems (e.g., CMDBs, application inventories, DevOps tools, EA repositories). • Automate ingestion, normalization, and validation of architecture data to reduce manual maintenance and improve data quality. • Enable API driven and event driven updates where appropriate. Governance, Risk & Regulatory Enablement • Embed Ardoq into architecture governance processes (e.g., technology reviews, standards compliance, application onboarding). • Enable audit ready and regulator supporting views that demonstrate architectural oversight, dependencies, and risk impacts. • Partner with Enterprise Architecture, Risk, and Technology leadership to ensure Ardoq supports FFIEC aligned and internal control expectations. Advanced Visualization & Decision Support • Design executive ready dashboards and visualizations linking business capabilities, platforms, costs, and risks. • Enable scenario analysis and impact assessments (e.g., cloud migrations, technology decommissioning, dependency risk). • Support leadership decision making with clear, trusted architecture insights. Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement • Act as a platform and subject matter leader for Ardoq across the enterprise. • Partner with domain architects, platform teams, and delivery organizations to drive adoption and data accountability. • Influence without authority, aligning federated teams to common modeling standards and practices. Platform Maturity & Continuous Improvement • Define and drive the Ardoq roadmap, including new use cases, data domains, and automation. • Establish modeling standards, guardrails, and reusable patterns. • Stay current with Ardoq capabilities and evaluate new features for enterprise adoption. Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience. • 10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, platform engineering, or architecture tooling roles. • Strong hands on experience with Ardoq configuration, data modeling, and integrations. • Experience operating in large, complex, regulated enterprises. • Proven ability to translate architecture data into executive level insights. Preferred Qualifications • Financial services or similarly regulated industry experience. • Experience integrating Ardoq with CMDBs, application inventories, or SDLC tooling. • Familiarity with EA frameworks (e.g., TOGAF informed practices). • Experience supporting technology governance, risk, or audit initiatives. • Strong scripting or automation experience (where applicable to Ardoq integrations).
