Together, we’re improving health and improving lives. LabCorp   is seeking a LIS Coordinator   to join our team  at Ascension St Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. Work Schedule:  1st shift; Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm. On call when needed. Hours may be adjusted based on business needs or at the discretion of the hiring manager.

Job Responsibilities

Monitor   LIS   dashboards for basic system alerts, error queues, and analyzer connectivity flags.   Assist   with routine configuration updates such as label formats, print routing, user role changes, and test dictionary documentation.   Coordinate workstation, printer, and peripheral device support with IT/ LIS   Analysts.   Perform   first ‑ level   troubleshooting and escalate issues with   appropriate details .   Assists   with testing and validation activities   Execute predefined test scripts during upgrades, patches, and workflow changes.   Document validation results and communicate findings to   LIS   Analysts.   Support comparison of pre ‑   and   post ‑ change   functionality to   identify   basic discrepancies.   Help   maintain   test evidence and   validation   documentation libraries.   Assist   with   user ‑ access   reviews and   LIS   permissions auditing.   Run routine audit logs (e.g., pending   lis ts, workflow exceptions) per SOP.   Report   observed   workflow or data discrepancies to Analysts or leadership.   Support regulatory preparation by gathering   LIS   audit outputs as instructed.   Maintain downtime binders, forms, labels, instructions, and communication   lis ts.   Participate in downtime drills and document observations.   Assist   with   post ‑ downtime   validation steps by following check lis ts.   Help update downtime and DR documentation as workflows evolve.   Provide basic   LIS   navigation   assistance   and respond to routine user questions.   Coordinate and schedule   LIS   training sessions with Analysts and   leadership .   Maintain training guides, tip sheets, and learning materials.   Support   onboarding of   new laboratory staff with   LIS   orientation tasks.   Run scheduled operational and quality reports using   LIS   tools.   Perform   first ‑ level   data review and flag anomalies for Analysts or leadership.   Distribute recurring reports to appropriate stakeholders.   Maintain reporting schedules and documentation.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology,   Information Technology/Computer Science   1 year or   more of   experience in a clinical laboratory IT support environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree   in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology,   Information Technology/Computer Science   ASCP and/or AMT Certifications   2 years or more of experience supervising or leading a team   Prior experience supporting or administering an   LIS   or EHR systems in a hospital or healthcare setting   2
