Software Engineer

Windows 365 and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) have recently been recognized as a leader in the inaugural Gartner Magic Quadrant™ for Desktop as a Service (DaaS).  We are seeing tremendous customer pull from on premise Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) customers that want to modernize and move from on prem VDI to the cloud.  Windows 365 and AVD are already a billion-dollar business today and we are seeing rapid growth in revenue and usage, this is one of the key horizon 2 growth areas in our Windows and Devices (W+D) business.  We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our team.   Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As an Engineer in the Windows 365 team, you will get an amazing opportunity to develop experience at both business and technology level. You will get to extend your knowledge of desktop virtualization and technical areas including Windows, Office and our cloud-based management suite, and drive product improvements into Azure / Windows Virtual Desktop. In this role, you will be part of a team of talented and motivated engineers that will behave more like a startup team. You will do what is necessary with your peers to plan, design, implement and deliver the feature requirements with high quality.

Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Science or other technical field 0~2 years of software engineering experience building and shipping apps and/or services Good at leveraging AI through all engineering activities including design, coding, validation, deployment, monitoring Good learning ability Good technical design skills and proven ability to drive system designs for commercial projects or products Good English communication skill   Preferred Qualifications: Ambitious, self-motivated Agile, can-do attitude and great at dealing with ambiguity Good AI agentic experience Strong coding, debugging and problem-solving skills Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming language paradigms Experience in developing online services Experience in relational databases, distributed systems and/or big data technologies   Microsoft is an equal opportunity employer.  All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, religion, national origin, marital status, age, disability, veteran status, genetic information, or any other protected status.
