Manager / Senior Manager of Environmental Operations
(Southern California, Arizona, New Mexico)
Location: Southwest (This is not a remote position)
Position Overview
BNSF’s Manager of Environmental Operations will oversee field compliance with federal, state and local environmental regulations and BNSF policy, for our facilities and infrastructure Arizona, New Mexico, and Southern California – serving as:
• Collaborator with federal, state and local environmental agencies, community and tribal representatives, and other external stakeholders, in support of daily environmental operations activities and associated projects.
• Subject Matter Expert for Environmental Compliance, partnering with BNSF’s environmental team, internal engineering and operations, and external consultants.
• Champion to continuously improve and incorporate innovative and sustainable environmental operations principles and practices into BNSF’s operations.
The position requires the ability to effectively engage with various internal operations teams and external regulatory agencies across BNSF’s network, to identify and mitigate environmental risk.
