About the Role

As a Chemist I, you will perform laboratory testing to support product quality and compliance within a GMP-regulated environment. You will execute routine and non-routine testing, interpret analytical data, troubleshoot laboratory issues, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to develop technical expertise while collaborating with colleagues across the organization to maintain the highest standards of quality and safety.

What You'll Do

Analytical Testing & Data Review Perform routine and non-routine analytical testing following approved procedures, protocols, and GMP requirements. Review, interpret, and document analytical results accurately and thoroughly. Perform second-person verification (SPV) of laboratory data generated by other analysts. Identify and communicate abnormal results or trends and participate in investigations as needed. Enter data into laboratory systems and ensure documentation is complete and compliant. Laboratory Operations & Quality Support laboratory investigations, including root cause analyses and deviation investigations. Troubleshoot laboratory equipment, methods, and processes. Assist in developing, revising, and improving laboratory documentation, worksheets, and procedures. Review standard operating procedures (SOPs) for accuracy and usability. Contribute to equipment qualification activities, calibration, and maintenance. Continuous Improvement & Collaboration Identify opportunities to improve laboratory processes, quality systems, and operational efficiency. Support change controls, deviations, and other quality system activities. Share technical knowledge and best practices with colleagues and site teams. Assist with training and mentoring team members and may help develop training materials. Safety Follow all site and corporate safety requirements. Maintain a safe laboratory environment and actively support health, safety, and environmental initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or another related scientific discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in a laboratory environment, ideally within a GMP-regulated industry. Familiarity with analytical instrumentation such as HPLC, UV spectroscopy, capillary electrophoresis (CE), or similar technologies. Experience with laboratory systems such as LIMS and Microsoft Office applications. Strong data analysis, mathematical, and documentation skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate across functions. Comfortable working in a laboratory setting and wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
