About this role

NAS Selection is seeking a Senior Product Manager to build Selection of the Future — evolving how Amazon identifies, prioritizes, and closes selection gaps to ensure we focus on what matters most to customers. Our current selection strategy has driven meaningful coverage improvements — we track 85K+ important brands, 10M+ head selection items, and have identified $34.6B in selection gap opportunity. We are building capabilities to quantify gap value, prioritize must-have selection over marginal variants, and predict which emerging brands will drive lasting customer impact. This role will create the AI-powered frameworks that ensure Vendor Managers and 3P Account Managers focus their finite capacity on the selection gaps with the highest customer impact and long-term business value. You will own the end-to-end vision and roadmap for selection gap prioritization, partnering business and tech teams to build an AI-driven system that enables flexible prioritization of selection gaps based on customer needs as well as business strategies. Key job responsibilities Key job responsibilities Redefine How We Prioritize Selection: Move beyond item-level coverage metrics to build a prioritization framework that quantifies what matters most to customers. This includes sizing the revenue opportunity of selection gaps at both item and brand level, identifying emerging brands gaining traction on social platforms before they appear in traditional Amazon signals, and establishing criteria for "unregretted gaps" — high-effort, low-value opportunities like undifferentiated pack sizes and low-demand variants that don't warrant investment. Apply Agentic AI to Accelerate Gap Closure: Leverage AI to transform how we identify and resolve selection gaps at scale. This includes accelerating brand gap identification, item-level defect diagnosis, and seller engagement opportunities. Integrate substitutability and purchase intent models to sharpen prioritization and surface insights that enable business teams to focus on gaps that matter most to customers — while automating resolution of non-strategic gaps. Communicate Strategy Across All Levels: Translate technical complexity into clear, compelling narratives for audiences ranging from category teams to VP and SVP leadership. Author strategic documents that drive alignment across business and technical organizations, and represent selection strategy in business reviews and planning forums with executive presence and precision.

About the team

The NAS Selection Strategy team is the customer's advocate for selection on Amazon. We exist to answer a simple question: Does Amazon carry the brands and products they're looking for? We are responsible for assessing our current selection performance, identifying key selection gaps, and creating tools and processes to ensure leaders across Amazon understand and action selection opportunities. Our work spans branded selection and unbranded selection across 1P and 3P channels, directly influencing how millions of customers discover and purchase products on Amazon
