About the role The MFC International Business Development Manager – Central & Eastern European (CEE) Region is a newly created post, given the breadth and value as well as interconnectivity and complexity of business in the region. The MFC International Business Development Manager – Central & Eastern European (CEE) Region will report to the MFC International Business Development Director for Central and Eastern Europe and will assist with the management of MFC’s business development activities and customer engagements, to enable MFC to deliver the strategy for the CEE Region and be successful in winning the key programmes in the different countries. Working closely with MFC’s various Lines of Business, other functions across the greater Lockheed Martin enterprise (Global Business Development & Strategy, Government Affairs, Industrial Development, Communications, and other Corporate Functions) as well other LM Business Areas (Aeronautics, Space, Rotary & Mission Systems), the MFC International Business Development Manager – Central & Eastern European (CEE) Region region will: Build and maintain close relationships with the Lockheed Martin customer set and key stakeholders to develop a strong understanding of customer plans and priorities in the region. Effectively communicate key customers insights to line of business executives, business development leads, and program manages to assist in their inform business activities. Understand the MFC business environment and trends affecting Lockheed Martin. Maintain up-to-date knowledge on key decision makers and influencers in each country, including leaders in respective Armed Forces, Defense Ministries, Finance Ministries, Diplomatic Corps, and other areas (including the US Embassy staff in each country). Participate in various strategy and customer stakeholder mapping workshops and offer clear input to MFC lines of business and MFC leadership to assist in deepening understanding of customer landscape. Contribute to develop effective strategies for growing and maintaining Lockheed Martin’s & MFC’s business in the region. Represent Lockheed Martin MFC at various conferences, trade shows and other events to demonstrate Lockheed Martin presence and engagement and deepen understanding of the political, strategic and industrial landscape in each country. Responsibilities include: Enabling delivery of LMMFC’s regional strategy by supporting the MFC lines of business (LOB’s) to achieve LM's goals to win key programmes in the region. Promoting and representing the LM brand and values to regional customers and stakeholders in the aerospace and defence sectors at the highest levels and key events in the region. Providing MFC leadership and lines of business with a clear understanding of changing customer needs and expectations in terms of capabilities, technologies, requirements and their impact on capture / contract content and delivery. Specifically, supporting the MFC LOB Business development teams’ strategies, long-range plan development, customer engagements and relationship management. Contributing to the MFC creation, development and sustainment of industrial partnerships and alliances in the region. Co-ordinating regional and related in-country government relations activities in support of LMMFC and OneLM strategic aims and in lockstep with LM Governmental Affairs. Advocating for Lockheed Martin's position and interests through active membership of key industry organisations as well as sponsorship planning with organisations of interest. Support MFC’s engagement in regional tradeshows, conferences and branding events.
