Position
Summary Solar Turbines is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Hydro-Mechanical Accessory Systems Engineer to support the Package & Systems Development and New Product Introduction (NPI) India team. The engineer will lead the design, development, integration, and implementation of hydro-mechanical accessory systems for industrial gas turbine packages. The role works across electrical, controls, manufacturing, and project teams to deliver safe, reliable, serviceable, and cost-effective solutions that meet technical specifications, customer requirements, industry standards, and company procedures. Primary Responsibilities • Lead the design and development of hydro-mechanical accessory systems for industrial gas turbine packages, from concept through production release. • Perform system definition, component selection, sizing, and design calculations for hydraulic equipment and related mechanical devices. • Develop and maintain design specifications, process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), schematics, engineering drawings, bills of material, design calculations, and test reports. • Participate in NPI activities including concept evaluation, design reviews, prototyping, testing, validation, production readiness, and technical issue resolution. • Collaborate with electrical, controls, packaging, manufacturing, sourcing, quality, service, and project engineering teams to ensure effective system integration. • Conduct design and architecture reviews, evaluate alternatives, document decisions, and ensure compliance with technical specifications and established design standards. • Provide technical support during package build, installation, commissioning, field operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. • Identify and implement improvements that enhance product performance, reliability, manufacturability, maintainability, serviceability, and cost competitiveness. • Assess design risks and support reliability and safety compliance activities, including structured root-cause analysis and corrective actions. • Manage multiple concurrent assignments while meeting project milestones, quality expectations, and team priorities. Required Qualifications • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline. • Minimum 6+ years of relevant experience in hydro-mechanical, hydraulic, fluid, or mechanical accessory system design. • Experience with industrial gas turbine packages, package systems, or comparable rotating equipment applications. • Hands-on experience in the design and sizing of hydraulic equipment or devices. • Experience with system design, reliability analysis, design validation, and safety compliance. • Ability to prepare and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, schematics, specifications, and technical reports. • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications • Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and design tools; Creo experience is preferred. • Experience developing or interpreting engineering schematics; Promis.e V8i experience is an advantage. • Experience working in Agile or Scrum engineering teams. • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, supplier collaboration, package installation, commissioning, and field service support. • Demonstrated ability to translate customer and
