As an Hydraulic/Hydrostat Design Engineer for the John Deere Construction & Forestry division , located in Dubuque, IA, you will be responsible for the continuous improvement of hydraulic and hydrostatic components and system designs for Crawler Dozers and Crawler Loaders, including, but not limited to: • Lead projects to improve cost, reliability and quality • Implement & document design changes • Perform warranty claim and root cause analysis • Assist the assembly line and customer support in troubleshooting issues • Work with suppliers, supporting the development of new or improved components. What Skills You Need
• Strong problem solving skills • Experience working in a team environment • Engineering experience relating to fluids mechanics/hydraulics • Experience with 3D modeling tools (such as: Pro/E, Solidworks, AutoCAD)
What Makes You Stand Out
• Ability to read schematics • Working knowledge of hydraulics/hydrostatic component/systems for mobile equipment • Off-road vehicle experience • Hydraulic plumbing experience • Electrical and/or electronics experience
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering degree
