Function Summary Data & Quantitative Sciences (DQS) is a global organization within Bristol Myers Squibb focused on advancing drug development through data, analytics, statistics, and quantitative sciences. DQS partners across Research & Development to accelerate decision-making, drive operational excellence, and enable the delivery of innovative medicines to patients worldwide. The DQS Strategy & Operations team serves as the operational backbone of the organization, enabling effective governance, execution, communications, workforce engagement, and business operations. The team partners closely with the DQS Leadership Team (LT), Human Resources, Finance, Procurement, Compliance, and business stakeholders to ensure organizational priorities are executed efficiently and consistently.
Position
Summary The Strategy and Operations Manager plays a critical role in enabling the success of the DQS operating model by driving governance, operational excellence, leadership communications, engagement programs, and overall business operations. A member of the DQS Strategy & Operations team, this individual serves as a trusted partner to the DQS Leadership Team, ensuring organizational priorities are translated into action and executed with discipline. The successful candidate is highly organized, proactive, and execution-focused, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced global environment. This role requires strong project management, communication, stakeholder engagement, and operational skills to support a complex, matrixed organization. The Leadership Operations Manager identifies risks, drives accountability, proactively solves problems, and continuously improves operational processes that support the overall effectiveness of the DQS organization.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership Governance & Operating Rhythm Own the DQS Leadership Team's governance cadence, agenda planning, and meeting logistics. Track leadership action items and commitments to ensure accountability and follow-through. Build and maintain leadership dashboards, scorecards, and the annual operating calendar. Surface execution risks and interdependencies, and drive visibility into organizational priorities. Communications & Engagement Programs Lead planning and execution of DQS Town Hall, DQS Week, and other leadership forums and events. Organize leadership offsites, strategy sessions, and summits. Manage executive communication calendars and ensure consistent organizational messaging. Develop executive presentations and organizational storytelling materials. Talent & Culture Activation Coordinate leadership visits to key global sites Partner with HR on the annual talent and calendar and high-potential talent programs. Drive enterprise survey action planning and track progress against commitments. Support onboarding, assimilation, and cross-functional networking and culture-building initiatives. Operational Excellence & Quality Coordinate KPI reviews and maintain operational health metrics and performance indicators. Track quality, audit, inspection, and compliance action items, and support organizational readiness. Business Operations & Infrastructure Manage contracts, purchase orders, invoicing, and accrual tracking in partnership with Finance, Procurement, and Legal.
