Job Description
This position is for an Electrical Design Engineer Graduate (Board Engineer) to join a team that specializes in designing complex PCAs for high-performance computing systems. The Electrical Design Engineer Graduate will work with a senior electrical design engineer to design, develop, bring-up, validate, and release leading edge, high-performance PCAs (printed circuit board assemblies) and modules into production. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Work with senior engineers to design new and derivative PCAs based on system and board design requirements Work closely with power, mechanical, thermal, signal integrity, firmware engineers as well as vendors to develop leading edge, innovative, cost-effective system solutions for the high-performance computing industry Conduct reviews of your designs with the design and operations teams, and contribute to team design reviews per HPE’s product design, development, and release processes Bring-up, debug, and validate PCAs in an engineering test lab environment Release new PCA designs into manufacturing and support root cause issue resolution during volume production ramp up of those designs Track and document issue discovery, investigation plans/results, issue resolution, and issue closure in issue tracking data bases Create documentation, specifications, test plans, and manufacturing assembly/build instructions Work independently and/or participate in task teams addressing complex system/problem analysis Education and Experience Required: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering. (Graduated within 1 year of the start date) Knowledge and Skills: Experience with digital or analog circuit design as a part of course work or project work is desired Experience with electrical lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, load tools, multimeters, etc. is desired Knowledge of FPGA programming is a plus Knowledge of microcontroller programming is a plus What We Can Offer You: Health & Wellbeing We strive to provide our team members and their loved ones with a comprehensive suite of benefits that supports their physical, financial and emotional wellbeing.
