About the role
The Quality Leader leads the execution of quality engineering objectives and oversees the daily activities of the quality function. This role is responsible for driving product and process quality, developing team capabilities, managing customer quality concerns, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement across the organization. The position serves as a key liaison between customers, operations, and other Carrier sites to ensure product reliability, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Supervising the resolution of customer-reported nonconformities and quality issues, ensuring timely corrective and preventive actions. Leading the implementation and maintenance of test, inspection, and quality control plans to ensure product and process reliability. Managing risk identification and mitigation activities using core quality methodologies such as PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow Diagrams, Control Plans, and PPAP/APQP elements. Directing escape management activities, root cause investigations, and corrective action plans for product and process-related issues. Ensuring compliance of process control documentation with customer requirements, internal standards, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements. Leading and developing a team of quality technicians and support personnel through coaching, performance management, and talent development initiatives. Driving quality culture initiatives throughout the organization and influencing cross-functional teams to achieve quality objectives. Monitoring and improving key performance indicators such as scrap, warranty performance, customer complaints, cost of quality, and departmental productivity. Collaborating with customers and other Carrier facilities to address quality concerns and maintain strong customer relationships. Developing departmental metrics and quality improvement strategies that enhance product performance and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
Requirements We are looking for people who are collaborative, customer-focused, results-driven, and passionate about continuous improvement. If this is you, get in touch. As a minimum you must have: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field. Minimum of 3 years of relevant quality engineering or manufacturing quality experience. Minimum of 2 years of experience leading, coaching, and developing teams. Experience implementing and maintaining Quality Management Systems, including ISO standards. Experience managing quality metrics, scrap reduction initiatives, corrective actions, and operational performance indicators. Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies, including Root Cause Analysis, PFMEA, MSA, Control Plans, and PPAP/APQP. Experience interacting directly with customers and managing customer quality concerns. Demonstrated ability to influence and promote a quality culture across an organization. Advanced English level Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have: Experience supporting warranty analysis, customer returns, and product performance programs.
