Job Function: Market Access Job Sub Function: Health Economics Market Access Job Category: People Leader All Job Posting Locations: Taipei City, Taiwan Job Description: HEAD OF MARKET ACCESS, TAIWAN Pay Grade: PG40 Location: Taiwan Reports To: Managing Director, Taiwan Summary The Head of Market Access is accountable for maximizing patient access to Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine therapies in Taiwan through effective pricing, reimbursement, value demonstration, evidence generation and patient affordability strategies. The role leads reimbursement planning and execution across the portfolio, provides strategic oversight of health economics and evidence generation activities, develops patient affordability solutions, and evaluates emerging access opportunities such as private insurance partnerships where appropriate. As the leader of the Market Access function and a member of the Taiwan Leadership Team, the role develops organizational capability, contributes to business strategy, builds productive relationships with external stakeholders and industry associations, and collaborates closely with regional and global colleagues to advance patient access and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Pricing, Reimbursement and Market Access Leadership • Lead team to develop and execute pricing and reimbursement strategies for new products, new indications and existing products. • Lead reimbursement planning, submissions and payer engagement activities to support timely patient access. • Oversee development of value dossiers, reimbursement submissions, economic models and budget impact analyses. • Manage product pricing and reimbursement throughout the lifecycle. • Ensure market access strategies are aligned with portfolio priorities, launch plans and business objectives. • Identify and manage reimbursement risks, opportunities and mitigation plans. 2. Health Economics, Evidence Generation and Launch Readiness • Provide strategic oversight for health economics, outcomes research, real-world evidence and other evidence-generation activities that support reimbursement and value demonstration. • Identify local evidence needs and ensure appropriate inclusion within integrated evidence generation plans. • Partner with Medical Affairs and regional/global colleagues to strengthen the evidence base supporting patient access. • Lead Market Access input into new product introduction, launch planning and lifecycle management activities. • Ensure access considerations are incorporated into early asset, pre-launch and launch strategies. 3. Patient Affordability and Access Solutions • Lead development and optimization of patient affordability programs, self-pay solutions and patient support initiatives. • Identify opportunities to address patient access challenges resulting from reimbursement limitations, delays or affordability barriers. • Ensure patient programs are compliant, sustainable and aligned with company policies. • Monitor program effectiveness and recommend improvements to enhance patient impact and organizational value. 4.
