Job Description
The Lead Consultant typically provides expertise across all major functions in their area(s) of the business and delivers product features utilizing in-house and vended software, particularly web services and applications, by applying knowledge of the application functionality and client business processes. The person in the role creates technical and process designs and configures vendor and in-house software for new or existing complex enterprise-wide and business-unit applications and maintenance efforts. The Lead Consultant is also aware of roadmaps and understands how to navigate support processes and developer groups to gain insight and influence future direction. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Workforce Identity Lead Consultant to join our team. This role is ideal for professionals with developer experience who want to be at the forefront of designing and rolling out new automated access provisioning methods and tools. The candidate will be expected to work closely both with internal team members and other Identity teams to help provide a seamless experience for our customers. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and supporting IAM solutions that align with Allstate’s security policies and business objectives. ***ALL CANDIDATES MUST BE IN THE CST OR EST TIMEZONES. NO EXCEPTIONS.*** Key Responsibilities: Develop overall product planning by contributing to stories for complex features in areas of responsibility, including guiding the story development for other team members who may be learning. Organize, lead and finalize feature review sessions for complex business issues/requirements and document resulting decisions; provide coaching to less experienced team members on their features and delivery. Create the functional design, using technical skills, to address complex business processes or issues or to address the requirements of a set of product features. Configure or develop within vendor and in-house software; review and verify operation of new vendor or in-house release features. Use vendor and in-house defect resolution procedures and support tools to resolve issues. Use knowledge of integrated requirements to evaluate proposed software products in line with strategic corporate and vendor direction. Support the planning, conduct, and review of module and integration testing for all but the most complex projects. Manage the issues and blockers for assigned features and stories. Troubleshoot and resolve access related issues including reported problems to our applications, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. In partnership with the business groups and technical teams, provide knowledge and support for resolving technology issues in multiple areas of the business; acknowledged as a subject matter expert in multiple processes and applications.
