Job Description
Presbyterian Medical Group seeks a BE/BC Gastroenterologist to join our established practice in New Mexico. We’re all about well-being, starting with yours. Practice Highlights: Team consists of General Gastroenterologists, Advanced Endoscopy Gastroenterologists, Gastroenterology Hospitalist and Advanced Practice Clinicians Expected work schedule; Monday-Friday 8 AM- 5 PM Dedicated GI Lab time 2-3 times per week seeing on average 12-15 patients per day. Clinic patient visits 1 ½ days per week. Low Call Expectations; call in rotation with group. Call frequency on average 3 days per month Systemwide Epic (EMR) system Comprehensive malpractice insurance provided at no cost to the provider Tail coverage included to ensure protection even after employment ends. Responsibilities: *Delivers clinical care to patients in the PMG GI practice in all venues including clinic, inpatient and lab *Participates in night call in rotation with the general GI practice *Supervises the care delivered by APCs in the PMG GI practice *Support mechanisms to gather and report quality measures *Receives and resolves patient, staff and provider complaints. *Participates in quality improvement plans *Works with the leadership team including DPO, MSO, clinic manager and lab manager on the practices financial, clinical, and service quality performance; *Participates in the recruitment and retention of physicians and staff who work in the practice *Takes corrective action when arranged with accountability and authority Ability to determine care plans for patients and execute them. Ability to teach, train and oversee APCs in the care they deliver to GI patients in clinic. *Performs other functions as required Additional Job Description:
