Tax Transformation Manager to support the delivery of tax transformation services to external clients. This role will d Overview Crowe is seeking a Tax Transformation Manager to support the delivery of tax transformation services to external clients. This role will deliver solutions related to process improvement, technology enablement, project management, operating model support, and AI powered solution development. The ideal candidate will have experience working with tax departments, tax processes, tax technology, finance transformation, or business process improvement. This person should be comfortable working directly with clients to identify issues, assess current-state processes, develop recommendations, and support implementation of meaningful improvements. This role requires strong project management skills, process improvement capabilities, product and solution mindset, client service skills, and the ability to think critically through complex business problems.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a manager on client-facing Tax Transformation engagements, helping plan, coordinate, and deliver project workstreams for external clients. Work directly with client tax, finance, technology, and operations stakeholders to understand business objectives, current-state challenges, process inefficiencies, technology gaps, and improvement opportunities. Manage engagement activities, including project plans, timelines, workstream coordination, meeting agendas, status updates, action items, risks, issues, and client deliverables. Facilitate client interviews, process walkthroughs, working sessions, and meetings to gather requirements, document current-state processes, identify pain points, and define future-state needs. Support tax process improvement initiatives by developing process maps, future-state designs, recommendations, implementation plans, and practical solutions to improve efficiency, consistency, quality, controls, and scalability. Help clients evaluate and improve the use of tax technology, automation, workflow tools, data, reporting, and analytics to support more effective tax operations. Translate client needs into business requirements, functional requirements, user stories, solution concepts, roadmaps, and prioritized implementation activities. Apply strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify root causes, evaluate options, assess trade-offs, and develop clear recommendations. Prepare client-ready deliverables, presentations, status reports, roadmaps, process documentation, and implementation materials. Support change management and adoption activities, including communications, training materials, stakeholder engagement, readiness activities, and transition planning. Coordinate with Crowe tax professionals, technology resources, data teams, client personnel, and third-party vendors to deliver high-quality engagement outcomes. Supervise and coach junior professionals by reviewing work, providing feedback, assigning tasks, and helping team members develop tax transformation, project management, and consulting skills.
