About this role

Overview

A Principal Product Manager for Content and Editorial will help lead the editorial direction, editorial operations and cross-collaboration with our product and engineering teams to ensure the success and integrity of our content across Microsoft MSN surfaces. This role sits within the Microsoft AI core experiences team and aims to build content products that inform and entertain while ensuring high-quality, timely delivery of MSN AI-powered products across MSN surfaces. Responsibilities

Develop and implement quality and editorial guidelines for premium AI-powered content experiences across MSN and Microsoft surfaces.   Shape video and creator guidelines within our MSN content experiences, establishing trust, safety and quality frameworks at scale.  Build and execute scalable evaluations for AI-powered content systems.  Create and execute quality evaluations for existing editorial content products at scale in partnership with product and engineering teams.  Lead cross-functional projects with product, technical, and design teams, influencing scale and editorial outcomes.     Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams on model evaluation, prompt engineering, and strategic planning around key editorial.  Make data informed decisions that meet audience, editorial, and business objectives.  Identify workflow improvements to enhance efficiency and product quality across editorial content product.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree AND 12+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience. Proven experience in driving editorial direction, strategy, and accuracy at scale.  Proven excellence in executing editorial judgment and leading editorial direction.  Proven experience building, executing and scaling frameworks and evaluations within AI-first products.   Proven experience collaborating with product and technical engineering teams.  Experience building products for broad audiences at scale.  Solid communication and leadership experience.  Experience with GenAI content.   #MicrosoftAI  Product Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $142,800 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
