Loco shop Mechanic

Subsidiary Steel Dynamics Overview Electrical and mechanical repairs, inspections, maintenance of mobile equipment including Locomotives and rail cars. Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair tasks of all electrical/mechanical systems on mobile equipment to include trucks, heavy equipment, and mobile scrap cranes. Operation of mobile equipment including fork trucks, extending boom fork trucks, man lifts a plus. Qualifications Required

Experience in troubleshooting and repairs to mobile equipment. Must have a strong safety record, good attitude with proven mechanical ability, good communication, and problem-solving skills. Self-directed with the ability to work in a team or individual setting.

Preferred

Prior Diesel and heavy equipment repair knowledge, Welding and fabricating is a plus. Prior Locomotive repair knowledge.
