What will you do as an Electrical Engineer at Sealed Air?
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining electrical systems, equipment, and components. This role supports manufacturing, operations, facility, and product development initiatives while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop electrical systems, controls, and equipment. Create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and automation issues. Support installation, commissioning, and startup of new equipment. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions. Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies. Collaborate with maintenance, operations, project engineers, and vendors. Manage electrical projects including budgeting, scheduling, and documentation. Evaluate and improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and performance. Support continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives. What skills will help you succeed?
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Knowledge of electrical systems, controls, motors, drives, PLCs, and power distribution. Experience with AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar electrical design software. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Familiarity with NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA, and applicable industry standards. Excellent communication and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in manufacturing, automation, packaging, or industrial systems. Knowledge of PLC programming, HMI development, and industrial networking. Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
