Valuation professionals at KPMG provide clients robust and informed guidance on valuation matters across multiple sectors, deal stages and business needs. We determine fair (market) value of equity shares, assets or complex financial instruments for mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting, tax and other regulatory standards. Our engagements include providing pre and post deal Purchase Price Allocations (PPA), Impairment Testing, employee or management incentive scheme valuations and recurring fund valuations. KPMG is currently seeking an Associate to join our Economic and Valuation Services practice

• Assist with the valuation analysis of real property and personal property, including report preparation, proposal development and executive presentations for financial reporting, tax, regulatory or business planning purposes

• Collaborate with senior team members on client deliverables, gaining exposure to a wide range of real estate asset classes

• Perform market research and property inspections as required, domestic and abroad, in order to support the valuation process

• Read, abstract and analyze leases related to equipment and commercial real estate transactions

• Assist KPMG audit teams in a review capacity as tangible asset specialists, reviewing third-party or internally developed valuations

• Build capabilities in key technologies that enable tax professionals for client service delivery such as artificial intelligence (AI), Alteryx, Power BI and more

• Must be pursuing and have obtained by the start date or have completed the following degrees/majors in the past 12 months: Bachelors or Masters in Engineering, Real Estate, Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or equivalent program from an accredited college or university

• Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above

• Coursework or minor in information systems, software engineering, computer science or data and analytics preferred

• Demonstrated interest in real estate, machinery and equipment valuation; basic understanding of real estate finance concepts and ARGUS is a plus

• Demonstrated proficiency in Excel-based modeling, including but not limited to the areas of basic formulas, look-up functions and cash flow modeling; proficiency with short cuts, VBA and data visualization is a plus

• Strong in technical, business acumen, critical thinking and agility skills. Demonstrated ability to excel and drive strategic outcomes, coupled with a professional demeanor and a collaborative leadership approach, in a dynamic, evolving environment

• Demonstrated quality service mindset, strong technical aptitude, ability to learn and navigate technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), Alteryx and Power BI, MS Office Applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook and apply
