Position Summary
The Food & Beverage Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the serving of guests in the venue dining areas and catering functions. The Food & Beverage Supervisor must be personable and able to work in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment. The Food & Beverage Supervisor will assist the Food & Beverage Managers with projects including training, inventory, and special events. The Food & Beverage Supervisor must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need. This role pays an hourly rate of $18.00 - $23.00. This position will remain open until December 4, 2026.
Responsibilities
Oversee meal service to guests or guide guests through the buffet line as needed. Supervise beverage service, including alcoholic beverages, and verify guest identification to ensure compliance with minimum age requirements. Assist with recording guest orders and entering them into the kitchen through the POS system. Monitor guest tables to respond to additional requests and determine when meals are completed. Calculate meal totals, present checks to guests, process payments, and provide change when necessary. Ensure tableware and linens are replaced and maintained as needed throughout service. Recommend menu items, describe ingredients, and explain preparation methods to enhance the guest dining experience. Supervises the setup of banquet functions, including linens, dishware, glassware, and silverware. Maintains sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas. Show demonstrated ability to meet the company standard for excellent attendance. Assures that the location equipment is operable and clean prior to the start of the event. Responsible for recognizing guests that are visibly intoxicated and taking action to cut off alcohol to such individuals Enforces all OVG policies and procedures. Assists the Management team with projects including training, inventory, and special events. All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
1-2 years' experience working in a supervisory capacity in a fast-paced restaurant or catering environment or applicable education. Ability to supervise the work of others. Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests in a clear, businesslike, and respectful manner, which focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative work environment.
