Job Description
This job is responsible for consulting on corporate business continuity topics with clients. Key responsibilities include recommending and implementing solutions that protect the bank's assets and participating or leading business continuity initiatives and ongoing process activities (i.e., scenario analysis, plan development, testing, event management, and progress reporting/measurement). Job expectations include providing subject matter consulting support in audit and regulatory matters as needed. The Group Business Recovery Coordinator (GBRC) is an individual contributor within the Global Operations (GO) organization (KD005 – Bus Continuity Consultant job profile). This role is responsible for supporting the end-to-end Business Recovery Planning and Testing processes and driving overall operational resiliency for a portfolio of business functions within Global Operations. The GBRC will: • Work closely with function teams and the function owner to complete deliverables and collaborate with other GO GBRCs to ensure deliverable consistency and quality • Directly update deliverables in the business continuity systems of record, including Continuity Planning Tool (CPT). • Interact with senior leaders and engage/influence business partners across the defined portfolio Key responsibilities include the building and maintenance of the following deliverables for the GBRC’s portfolio of business functions: • Business Impact Analysis (BIA) – functional risk assessment to determine the function’s Recovery Time Objective (RTO). Also includes identification of the function’s application, 3rd party, and other function dependencies • Business Recovery Plan (BRP) – recovery strategies and tasks for recovery of the function; includes recovery for physical location disruption, dependency disruption, and employee unavailability (e.g., pandemic) • Business Recovery Function-Location Testing – the GBRC will write test scripts and expected results and oversee test execution by function teams The GBRC will have opportunities to participate in or run projects from time-to-time based on availability, project topic knowledge, and career interests.
