Position Summary
The Event Accountant will be a key accounting contact at Moody Center. This role will be responsible for performing end-to-end event accounting duties. Serve as the point person for all event accounting-related items, including, but not limited to, event revenue, event expenses, event settlements, and flash reports. We are searching for a detail-oriented, proactive, driven, and collaborative professional who will be responsible for the accuracy and integrity of all Moody Center event accounting processes. This role pays an annual salary of $60,000 - $70,000 Benefits for Full-Time roles: Health, Dental and Vision Insurance, 401(k) Savings Plan, 401(k) matching, and Paid Time Off (vacation days, sick days, and 11 holidays). This position will remain open until November 27, 2026.

Responsibilities
Event settlements for approximately 100 publicly ticketed events (night of show), 38 University of Texas basketball games, and multiple Private Events. Work directly with the event promoter and tour accountant to ensure timely submission of publicly ticketed pre-event settlement and final on-site night-of-show event settlement. Work with Event Managers and Ticket Operations to ensure timely receipt of event expenses and ticket revenue reporting. Prepare and distribute flash reports within 48-72 hours. Create and post event journal entries. Review event P&L for accuracy. Compare the actual event P&L vs. budget. Order and coordinate delivery of cash requested by Promoter.
