Job Description
DUTIES: Lead and deliver end-to-end technical solutions by defining executable requirements using Cucumber language for behavior-driven development (BDD), performing functional decomposition, developing Software Development Kits (SDKs) for integration with Connected Vehicle Cloud (CVC) and OnStar Data Services, and overseeing system design, implementation, and testing across major enterprise programs. Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based server-side business logic using Java, Kotlin, and Spring frameworks, with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and Oracle, to deliver enterprise-scale backend services optimized for reliability, scalability, and maintainability. Drive implementation of enterprise-grade fleet and commercial software, incorporating modular integration layers, third-party API connectivity, and scalable service-oriented architectures to support extensibility and cross-platform interoperability. Manage the full software development lifecycle — including design, development, automated and manual testing, CI/CD deployment, and operational support — while diagnosing and resolving software anomalies across distributed backend platforms to ensure performance, quality, and delivery objectives are met. Apply cloud-native architecture principles on Microsoft Azure, leveraging managed platform services, containerized workloads, event-driven asynchronous processing, and streaming technologies for scalable infrastructure. REQUIREMENTS : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related field of study. Seven (7) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, Junior Software Developer, System’s Analyst, or related occupation. Seven (7) years of experience with JVM languages, Java, Kotlin, SpringBoot; REST APIs; React and modern JavaScript libraries; HTML, CSS, Java Script and related web technologies; Cloud providers Azure, AWS, GCP; Architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling of new and existing system; Work in an agile development environment; Software design patterns, OO, data structures, and algorithms; and NoSQL and relational DB. #LI-DNI
