Why This Job
CMC's Tensar Division is searching for an Application Technology Manager to join our Technology team! The Application Technology Manager will be responsible for new system development, product information, system approval, software training and technical support for Tensar systems. The Application Technology Manager will also contribute by gathering and analyzing market information, identifying key markets and end users and assisting with implementation of marketing and communications strategies that will deliver these to both Sales and Distributor markets. What You'll Do
Identify and develop new application technologies utilizing the core Tensar products
Identify and implement technology improvements to existing Tensar systems
Interact with technical engineers and non-technical operations personnel to integrate new technologies and update existing systems, as well as provide technical troubleshooting support to operations.
Collect and analyze market data and communicate sales opportunities to distributors and Regional Sales Managers
Independently manage application technology development projects
What You'll Need
8 years of project management experience in geotechnical engineering, geosynthetics engineering or a related discipline
Expert in Geosynthetics and Mechanically Stabilized Earth (MSE) structure designs and understanding of the principles of soil mechanics/geotechnical engineering
Ability to communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and business leadership
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
Your Education
Bachelors in Civil Engineering Required
Advanced Degree (MBA or MS) preferred
