About the Role
(Job Summary) The Senior Facilities Representative plays a key role in maintaining safe, efficient, and compliant facility operations within a fast-paced distribution and operational environment. This position is responsible for coordinating facility maintenance activities, supporting automated systems and equipment, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring building systems operate effectively to support business continuity. The successful candidate will serve as a primary point of contact for facility-related issues and contribute to a productive, safe, and well-maintained workplace.
What You'll Do
(Responsibilities) Coordinate facility operations, including preventive maintenance, repairs, work order management, and the ongoing support of building systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment. Support the operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of automated systems and equipment, including OSR (Order Storage and Retrieval), A-Frame, conveyor, and material handling systems. Serve as the primary point of contact for facility, building operations, and automation-related issues, partnering with internal stakeholders, vendors, and contractors to ensure timely resolution. Conduct routine facility, safety, and equipment inspections to identify maintenance requirements, compliance risks, and opportunities to improve operational efficiency and equipment reliability. Manage vendor relationships and service activities, monitor contract performance, maintain facility records and asset documentation, and support facility budgeting and cost-control initiatives. Ensure compliance with workplace health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements while supporting emergency preparedness, business continuity, facility improvement projects, and space planning activities.
Basic Requirements
Typically requires 3+ years of relevant experience. Experience supporting facility maintenance programs, work order systems, or building operations. Experience working with contractors, vendors, and service providers. Knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, or automation equipment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, troubleshoot operational issues, and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Skills/Experience Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience supporting automated warehouse, distribution center, pharmaceutical, healthcare, logistics, or manufacturing environments. Knowledge of OSR (Order Storage and Retrieval) systems, A-Frame automation, conveyor systems, or material handling equipment. Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). Vendor management, contract administration, and project coordination experience. Knowledge of facility compliance standards, workplace safety requirements, and environmental regulations. Facilities Management Professional (FMP), Certified Facility Manager (CFM), or similar industry certification. Experience supporting capital improvement or facility upgrade projects.
