This role is responsible for developing and implementing a remediation program for ethics and compliance. The role will manage the remediation of risks identified through ethics investigations and reporting, including collaborating with cross-functional business partners to design, implement, and monitor the effectiveness of remediation plans. This includes working with key business leaders to ensure corrective actions are timely and effectively implemented. This role is also a point of ethics case management escalation for Intake and Ethics Case Managers, business stakeholders, and investigators when they encounter issues they cannot resolve independently. Ethics oversees and tracks reports of alleged violations of law or policy or other misconduct that are made through the Tyson Ethics Line, Web Reporting Form, or other ethics reporting mechanisms. Case management includes the assessment and triage of reports (including identifying the allegations, assigning to the appropriate investigative team or business partner to handle, and immediately escalating highest risk reports), reviewing investigations (ensuring investigative work product and resolution are fair and consistent with investigative and case management governance and other policy requirements), and resolution/remediation. Due to the nature of the reported allegations involving suspected violations of the law, regulations, company policies and provisions of the Code of Conduct, this position requires a high level of personal/professional integrity, a thorough understanding of the application of policy and investigative protocols, ability to communicate and work collaboratively with all levels of personnel and maintain extreme confidentiality. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to unethical behavior or policy violations across all levels of the organization, both domestically and internationally. Collaborate with business stakeholders, including the legal and compliance teams, to address risks identified through ethics investigations/reporting and develop and implement remediation where applicable. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of ethics remediation, including tracking of remediation from identification of risk through monitoring effectiveness of completed remediation. Prepare and deliver regular reports to senior management and external regulatory bodies (as needed) on the progress of remediation efforts, including metrics and any ongoing challenges, to ensure transparency and accountability throughout the remediation process. Assist in preparing documentation and reporting for internal audit or external reviews related to ethics and investigations. Manage the consistent resolution of ethics reports, ensuring that cases are handled fairly, thoroughly, and in compliance with company policies, case governance, and the law. Regularly assess the effectiveness of the ethics program and recommend improvement or updates based on feedback case outcomes, and industry best practices. Drive continuous improvement of the ethics and compliance program by identifying trends, emerging risks, and opportunities for enhancing processes, controls, and team member engagement. Proactively identify case management and remediation process improvements/challenges and independently implement solutions. Oversee the ethics case management system, including workflow/process improvements, integration with other company systems (e.g., Service Now, Workday, PowerBI), data integrity, completeness of documentation, and confidentiality of data. Ensure the team is up to date with current trends, regulations, and emerging ethical issues that could impact the company. Promote awareness of ethics policies and procedures to cultivate a company culture of integrity and transparency.
