The CSCP organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as plan, source, make, deliver, but also manages supportability (spares), sustainability, and decommissioning of datacenter assets worldwide. We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform for external customers. Within CSCP, the Spares Supply Chain organization is reinventing and transforming the cloud service parts supply chain. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond. #CSCP #CSCPJobs Responsibilities Own end-to-end demand, supply, inventory, and lifecycle planning for assigned commodities, platforms, or services to ensure continuity of operations and service attainment. Develop and execute supply strategies that balance availability, cost, inventory health, and business risk across the product lifecycle. Lead material readiness and planning execution for NPI, scale-out, sustainment, transition, Last Time Buy (LTB), and End-of-Life (EOL) activities. Drive cross-functional programs from planning through execution, managing schedules, dependencies, milestones, risks, and stakeholder alignment. Ensure deployment readiness by coordinating material, spares, capacity, and infrastructure availability to support business commitments. Monitor inventory health, forecast accuracy, excess and obsolete inventory, supply constraints, and capacity risks; implement corrective actions when needed. Partner with engineering, sourcing, suppliers, finance, operations, deployment, and business leaders to align priorities and drive execution. Proactively identify supply chain, lifecycle, and operational risks; lead mitigation strategies, continuity planning, and risk-buy recommendations. Leverage data analytics, planning systems, and dashboards to generate actionable insights and drive fact-based decision making. Define, track, and report key business metrics, providing regular updates on program performance, inventory, risks, and operational readiness. Lead process improvement and automation initiatives that increase planning efficiency, scalability, data quality, and operational excellence. Serve as the central coordination point across multiple organizations, influencing decisions through strategic recommendations and executive-level communication.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Technology (IT), Business, Operations, Finance, Accounting, Data Science, or related field AND 4+ years supply chain, inventory management or sales operations experience, preferably in planning (demand/supply/forecasting), cloud industry experience, infrastructure, data science, and/or channel management experience OR equivalent experience.
