Responsibilities
Night Shift | Starting Pay: $23.04 per hour About the Role Big ambitions are welcome at Post Consumer Brands. As a Machine Operator at our Jonesboro manufacturing facility, you will help keep production moving safely, efficiently, and with quality at the center of every step. You will operate and monitor production and distribution equipment, respond to changing conditions, support equipment care, and help produce food that reaches families. This is a hands-on role where your attention to detail, mechanical ability, and teamwork will make a visible impact. This is a regular, full-time position working a 2-2-3 schedule from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and monitor production and distribution equipment and processes. Load and change packaging materials and perform basic system start-up and shutdown activities. Contribute to root-cause analysis and corrective actions following equipment or process issues. Perform Basic Equipment Care tasks accurately and on schedule. Follow standard operating procedures, Safe Quality Food requirements, and Good Manufacturing Practices. Safely operate material-handling and inventory equipment, including scan guns, forklifts, pallet jacks, and scissor lifts. Record production information related to waste, downtime, efficiency, and other required measures. Clean and sanitize production equipment and maintain an orderly work area. Train and coach team members who are learning equipment, processes, or procedures. Assist in other production areas, special assignments, and training when requested.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For High school diploma or GED. Mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn production equipment. Ability to follow detailed work instructions and direction. Basic math and computer skills. Ability to use basic hand and power tools. Clear written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to solve entry-level problems involving different variables and established alternatives. A collaborative approach and the ability to build positive professional relationships. A dependable work history and acceptable attendance. Six months to one year of manufacturing or related experience is a plus, but not required. This role requires extended periods of standing, walking, kneeling, and climbing, along with repetitive gripping, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of up to 50 pounds. Team members must also be able to perform repeated bending, twisting, and reaching and work in hot or humid environments, at heights of up to 30 feet, on ladders, and in confined spaces.
