This professional represents the technical authority for manufacturing capability and methodologies definition for the assigned discipline, responsible for interfacing, facilitating and providing guidance to the broader FPS functions on manufacturing related topics. The Global Non-Metallic Advanced Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing and defining manufacturing requirements for successful implementation of new product introduction, new materials qualification, new supplier qualification, regulatory requirements compliance, productivity improvement, quality / safety improvements, etc. The Global Non-Metallic AME role also requires the individual to coordinate cross-functional teams, working closely with the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Project Managers, Commercial, NPI, Engineering and Materials teams to successfully define and agree on projects concept/design. As a Global Non-Metallic Advanced Manufacturing Engineer , you will be responsible for: Define and communicate to all levels the technical manufacturing strategy for FPS, ensuring that all manufacturing related activities comply with our overarching strategy Contribute to leveraging industry best practices, aimed at improving shop productivity and process safety Work in advance with engineering and commercial teams on defining pipe structures that satisfy customer requirements, maximize manufacturing productivity and identify and address manufacturing capability gaps that requires industrialization Work closely with AME PM and Process Engineering supporting complex manufacturing issues Oversee the overall industrialization process, ensuring that all parties involved are following the industrialization procedure Recommend and outline the necessary industrialization projects at FPS facilities to comply with new product requirements Contribute to a cross-functional team aimed at improving Manufacturing / Inspection processes and systems Guide, train and provide technical counsel to new and experienced engineers, technicians and specialists in flexible pipe manufacturing Design and oversee experiments to optimize processes and methods and help evaluate manufacturing improvements Fuel your passion To be successful in this role you will: Have proven experience in Industrial or Design Engineering Have proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the company, including senior leadership Have the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment and partner with other organizations to generate ideas and execute research projects – remove barriers Have solid aptitude for developing and conducting statistically designed experiments in factory and laboratory conditions, knowledge of capability study (CP and CPK) Have experience of mentoring engineers and team members Have availability for occasional international travel when required Have working knowledge of Windows software, including Mini Tab and the specific ability in the advanced use of Excel spread sheets Work in a way that works for you We recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.
