In this role, you'll estimate, mix, and color-match inks, maintain accurate records, and provide support to the Press Department using X-Rite color management technology.
What You Will Do
Monitor press schedules and estimate ink requirements Weigh, mix, and color-match inks to specifications Manage and utilize existing ink inventory Screen and rework returned ink when appropriate Support press operators with color matching as needed Enter and maintain color standards and formulas in X-Rite software Document ink data and update existing formulas Develop new color formulations as needed Provide drawdowns and color samples to Customer Service Calibrate and maintain X-Rite equipment Tag, store, and organize fresh and returned inks Repack drum ink into pails as needed Participate in team initiatives and continuous improvement efforts Cross-train in other departments and equipment as needed Adhere to Good Manufacturing and Prerequisite Program requirements to ensure safe food packaging. Awareness of and adherence to all Corporate and Site Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures, including Food Safety. Comply with all 5S, Cleaning, Lubrication, Inspection & Tightening (CILT) requirements.
What We Are Looking For
