As a Mechanical Engineer, you’ll leverage your strong foundation in physics, mathematics, and materials science to process and resolve mechanical problems, design and implement custom mechanical tooling and associated processes, and enable the handling, assembly, and disassembly of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies throughout the product life cycle. You'll be responsible for designing, developing, and modifying mechanical engineering layouts, schematics, and specifications. You will oversee manufacturing and installation processes, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations-- and you'll coordinate the procurement and assembly of mechanical components and equipment for design projects, identifying sources of critical parts and subsystems to resolve technical issues.
Key Responsibilities
Independently, develops and implements concepts for range of significantly complex product issues and engineering solutions Technically lead and/or execute engineering projects and spearhead research and development of new technologies, as appropriate Problem identification and troubleshooting a wide range of significantly complex engineering problems Specify or perform significantly complex engineering analysis Interface with internal and external customers regarding significantly complex engineering issues to address customers High Value Problems (HVP) for a range of products Generate product specifications. Define, coordinate, perform, and document engineering tests. Specify the development, design, or modify engineering layouts/schematics and/or detailed drawings/specifications of significantly complex scope Specify and review engineering documentation and engineering processes This technical staff position leads and/or develops and executes exceptionally complex technology and engineering projects and leads research and development of new technologies as appropriate. Works on critical complex issues that impact longer term product development and business success measured by one or more of the following: incremental revenue growth, market share increases, key customer penetrations, time to market improvement and commercial value of the work. Within safety guidelines design, perform, collect data, analyze and compile reports on unusually complex engineering experiments and provides solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious. Develop innovative solutions as part of proven track record of significant technology contributions. Recognized internally (across Business Units) as one of the limited number of technical experts in their field of expertise Conceive and implement new technology, normally named as primary inventor on numerous critical patents and
